Just like starting over

As many of you who know me know, I very seldom complete projects I start. Blogging is no different.
After starting and failing to keep my last blog up to date, I am starting again. New name, new face, just as lame and probably will last an entire two months again.

Those of you who know me also know I have my opinions, and I do not hesitate to share them with any who dare listen.

I am a recovering political Independent who has recently accepted the fact that I am, and always will be a conservative - not an independent. Actually, I make many of the conservatives I know nervous with my conservativeness.

The 2000 election cycle showed me that my "neutral" stance on many issues was a fallacy. September 11 drew out the Christian and removed many of the "scales" from my eyes. The world became black and white. The shades of grey all faded. The contrasts became clear. It's not about the US, Al-Quida, the EU or the UN. It's about where you place your faith. There are only two camps... which one are you in.

This election cycle I have watched as I have no other. Through my new eyes - black and white.

I don't know if the world was always this polarized, but I see something different now in the world, something... damn, can't put my finger on it. But it's there.

Bush is not the greatest President in the world, but as I see it, he is working for the side I want to be on. The side of faith, honor, decency, work and freedom. Kerry and his ilk are unknowingly doing the work for the other side. They are useful idots. They have been led to believe they are doing great things for man and liberty, but they, much like the useful idiots of the communist /socialist movement, don't quite understand what is at stake. As they whine, cheat and lie, they are driving the bus over the edge of the cliff. I don't think these are necessarily bad people, they are just driven by power, ego and greed into forgetting the things that are really important.

Well, I'm shot. Writing again after not doing it is like running after you've taken a year off to smoke and drink.

More later. I have tons of great thoughts throughout the day. Let's see if I can publish them coherently.
